A family friend suggested trying Soft Eyes with our house cats:
It consists of simply looking at them with nearly closed eyelids - almost as if one is dozing off.
It seems to calm a cat almost immediately.
Our neighbor lives at the Center of the Universe. So we are Slightly Off.......
