Have you noticed that most comedies on TV are based on lying?
This is nothing new - Lucy was always in trouble with Ricky for fibbing about something.
(An exception seemed to be the Andy Griffith Show, where a premium was placed on Opie telling the truth.)
However, it is not so funny if our political or business leaders lie to us - or themselves.
I think it weakens our nation every time it occurs.
